Burglar Alarms

Did you know that a robbery occurs every 13 – 15 minutes?

American Alarm has been installing burglar alarms in Orange, Dutchess and Ulster County homes from the beginning.  Although technology has changed since then, the objective has not:  provide strong home security for our customers.

Our burglar alarms are primarily wireless; using technology that is encrypted for security. Our alarms communicate in real time to our central station which allows for a secure transmission.

We Can Provide Sensors For:
  • Doors
  • Windows
  • Motion
  • Glass break

Sensor batteries have a long life, 3-7 years depending on the type. If there is a problem with a sensor your home security system will automatically alert, you and the monitoring station.

Our systems also offer home invasion protection which includes panic buttons on your key fob as well as direct communication to the central monitoring station, for added of peace of mind.

Life Safety

At American Alarm, every home security system is enhanced with smoke detectors, heat detectors and carbon monoxide detectors to lower the risk of a fire-related emergency happening to you.

Smoke & Fire Alarms

Did you know U.S. fire departments responded to an estimated average of 358,300 home fires per year?

Ordinary smoke and fire detectors are important; however they offer limited protection for your home and your family. A home that is protected by smoke & fire alarms installed and monitored by American Alarm, provides added peace of mind!

Not only our smoke, heat and fire detectors alert you in the event of an emergency, our central monitoring service calls 911, alerting the fire department right away! The minutes this saves can mean the difference between saving your home and the lives of your family!

Carbon Monoxide

Did you know that every year, at least 430 people die in the US from accidental CO poisoning.

Carbon Monoxide, the silent killer, is a colorless, odorless gas that is poisonous to humans!

When a CO leak occurs, not only will you receive a real time alert, the authorities will be contacted and your thermostat will be paused so that the toxic fumes will stop spreading.
